The Wedding Industry Awards 2017
WOW! What a way to restart my new look blog on my new sparkly website than with a nice fresh blog post about my wonderful shortlist as a Regional Finalist for North West Wedding Photographer of the year in the Wedding Industry Awards.
This is the second time my wonderful clients nominations has made me a Regional Finalist in such a highly creative category, filled with so many friends and peers in the industry, all of whom push and inspire me to better my wedding photography.
Capturing such a special day is truly a joy, each Wedding contains it's own memories for me. From many of these weddings I have met several suppliers who have gone onto become good friends, I have become great friends and colleagues with photographers too, working alongside them when they require and always being on hand to assist as I can.
Photographing a wedding day is not just a ridiculously amazing job, but it is also where so many contacts are made, I get to see a couple's vision come to life. I capture all those elements that they have worked so hard researching, from Hair and Make-up Artist's, to Florists, Bridal Designers and stationer's to entertainer's and dresser's. To capture a wedding is to see all these supplier's combine and create a wedding unique to the couple.
Sometimes our paths never cross, we become social media friends, and online conversations. But The Wedding Industry Awards creates a perfect opportunity to finally have an excuse to grab a drink and reminisce over joint weddings.
So let me take this time to thank my 2015 + 2016 couple's who through their nominations gave me the perfect reason to dress up and head out to grab a drink or two :P It really means so much to read back over the wonderful words and feedback from each and every couple. I can't wait to take on board everything mentioned and to work and push myself and my work further and higher. My main goal as a wedding photographer is to continue to produce work that brings back memories to everyone involved.
